Pecan Valley Team

Rarely do you find a company that’s core values of integrity, honesty and quality are simply the personal characteristics of its owner, but that is what manifested when Jimmy Dimanoff founded Pecan Valley Custom Homes in 1999. The goal of Pecan Valley Custom Homes is to make YOUR dreams come true, which is exactly what Derek and Jimmy Dimanoff do!

Derek Dimanoff

Derek Dimanoff is a 15+ year veteran of the construction industry spending time in several roles with various local builders before deciding to join his family in Pecan Valley Custom Homes, LLC. Derek’s introduction to construction came at an early age, working as a mason’s laborer to earn extra money to help pay for college. He immediately knew he liked the building industry and the satisfaction that came along with seeing progress on a daily basis, but at the time didn’t realize those ten hour hot summer days would lead to a family business that builds some of the finest custom homes in the Central Texas Area.

After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, Derek took some time to hone his Spanish by moving to Merida, Venezuela where he taught English at a local university. Upon returning to Austin he began his professional career working for a large regional custom builder and then the nation’s largest production home builder where he held various positions ranging from Field Manager, Production Manager, Division Estimator and Division Purchasing Manager.

Derek will tell you he “loves” working with his clients and building their homes. “Watching a client’s dreams become a reality is the one aspect of building a home you just can’t find in most other industries.” And it is in that aspect that Derek finds the most satisfaction. He uses his experience and ever growing knowledge of the construction industry to give customers a pleasant building experience as well as a quality home they will not only love to live in, but love to show off to friends and family.

Personally, Derek married his wife Michelle in 2005 and they now have a beautiful daughter – Alexandria (Alex). Derek will tell you he is a simple man outside of work. He most enjoys spending time with family and friends. However, he does enjoy golf, watching sports and the occasional trip to the coast for some bay fishing.

Jimmy Dimanoff

Young dreams can turn into adult passion and for Jimmy Dimanoff, raised in Central Texas, his passion started when he built his first tree house. Even as a child, Jimmy’s vision and determination were strong. During College Jimmy worked as a in the construction industry to help offset the costs of his education and to hone his skills & understanding of the processes associated with building a custom home. After earning degrees in accounting and management from Angelo State University, Jimmy moved to Austin to begin his professional career where he worked for one of the nation’s largest production home builders and for an international computer manufacturer prior to starting Pecan Valley Custom Homes. During this time Jimmy held roles in various fields ranging from construction superintendent, accountant, financial controller, regional sales manager, and marketing brand manager. All of his experience sharpened his desire and ability to provide exceptional quality and customer service while maintaining a keen sense of the value of his client’s budget.

Jimmy Dimanoff possesses an innate passion for construction and an unquestionable business savvy which provide his clients with unparalleled service and a quality product they will enjoy for a lifetime.

In 2007 Jimmy became a member of the City of Austin’s “Green Building Program”, and has since focused his attention on working with clients and trades alike to ensure that the proper materials and techniques are being used to build the most efficient home possible for the individual project. While the construction industry is still evolving and the definitions of “Green” are still moving the one thing is for certain – Building a better house is still the right direction and Jimmy is on leading edge of doing this. Next time you talk to Jimmy ask him about the different things you can do on your project to make your home more efficient.

Personally, Jimmy married his wife Mendy in 2004 and how have three beautiful children – Taylor, Mason, and Bailey. He loves the outdoors- hunting, fishing, mountain biking, etc. He wishes his golf game was better, but he much rather be on the job site making sure things are working the way they need to. If you ask him about these – be careful – you’ll liable to be there for a while exchanging stories.
